FAQs

What occasions are your cars available for?

They are ideally suited and available for Weddings. They are also suited for school formals, debs, Valentine’s Day, etc.

What areas do you cover?

We cover all areas in Metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula, Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Valley and some areas outside Melbourne. Don’t worry if you live way out…further distances can be catered for! So please contact us for other locations or a personal quote

How many people can your Wedding Cars take?

They can each accommodate four to five adult passengers.

How long should we book the wedding Cars for on the day?

This is entirely up to you, but generally the wedding cars are booked to take the bride and bridal party to the church or place of ceremony. Then to various photo locations and finally to the reception. On average the cars are required for 3 to 6 hours.

Do you have a price list?

Our pricing policy is based on the distance of the wedding locations, selection of wedding cars booked and journeys involved. As each booking is unique we recognize that your wedding requirements are individual and encourage you to contact us to discuss your specific requests, so that we can provide you with an accurate quote.

Are you available for a weekday wedding?

We have wedding cars available any day of the week.

How many wedding cars do I need?

Every wedding is different and consequently everybody’s car requirements are individual. You can allocate a vehicle for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and individual cars to transport the bride & groom to the church/ ceremony, keeping in mind, after the ceremony you require vehicles for the bride and groom, plus your bridal party.

The main bridal car will pick up the Bride from her house and transport her to the church/ceremony. Then the main bridal car will transport the Bride and Groom for the rest of the day. Bridesmaids & Groomsmen can travel together in the other cars.

The most common decision the couple make is to hire two vehicles for their day. The main car will collect the bride with the second collecting the groomsmen or bridesmaids. With this arrangement, The Bride and Groom travel together and the bridal party in the other car.
If you are having a large bridal party, you may need three or more cars. In this instance, the norm is to allocate one car for the bride, one for the groom’s party and one for the bridesmaids.

What is included in the price?

Included at any price quoted at Caddyman is:
The car, uniformed experienced chauffers, ribbons on the cars, red carpet, refreshments for the bridal party.

Can we actually view the cars?

Be very wary of any company which is reluctant to let you do so. We recommend always viewing the cars you book. There are a number of reasons for this. If you have only viewed photographs, there is no way of telling how old these photos are and while a car may look great in a picture, it may look terrible in the flesh. Finally, always sit into the cars you are intending to hire.

Are your Cars licensed to operate as Hire Cars?

Our cars are licensed by the Victorian Taxi Directorate to operate as hire cars. You should ensure that any vehicle you hire is.

How do I get a quote?

Will the prices change?

If you make a booking with us and pay a deposit, the price you agreed with us will not change. You should always check with any operator on what their conditions are.

How do I make a booking with CADDYMAN?

In order to secure a booking, you must first pay a deposit. The standard deposit is currently $50 per car.

How long before the wedding should I book my car(s)?

As long in advance as possible; many Brides book 12 months in advance. If you are already closer to the wedding day then give as a call – your date might still be available.

Can I make a provisional booking for my car(s) at CADDYMAN?

Yes. Phone us – if the date is available, we will hold the car for up to 10 days while you confirm the Church and reception availability.

CADDYMAN, what happens if it rains?

 It won’t! However, each car carries a large umbrella – just in case.

What happens if the Ceremony and Reception are at the same Venue?

In such circumstances, we will be happy to wait until after the wedding ceremony and then take the newly wed couple for a short drive, to give you a few quite moments to yourself prior to you returning for the photographs and the waiting guests.

What happens if the car breaks down?

While we maintain our vehicles to the best possible condition, just as with modern cars the unexpected can happen. Given sufficient warning, we will arrange, with your agreement, to provide a similar vehicle or a full refund of any money paid to that date.

What time do I need to leave for the church /ceremony?

Generally the groom is at the church/ceremony ½ hour before the wedding, to greet guests as they arrive. It’s the bride that makes the BIG entrance.

CADDYMAN will always arrive at the Brides pickup location early enough for you to fit some photos of you leaving in the car. We realise the importance of getting the bride to the church/ceremony on time, and will factor in distance and general traffic conditions to ensure that you… Arrive in Style, Arrive with Flair, and Arrive on Time.
